Chevalier Charles Coulombe on Mary as Mediatrix and Co-Redemptrix

There are four 'Marian Dogmas' defined by the Church. They are. 1) the Divine Motherhood, that Mary is the Mother of God, defined by the Œcumenical Council of Ephesus in AD 431. 2) Her Perpetual Virginity, defined by the Second
Œcumenical Council of Constantinople in AD 553. 3) Her Immaculate Conception, that from the first instant of her conception in the womb of St Anne by St Joachim, she was preserved from the stain of original sin, defined by Blessed Pope Pius IX in AD 1854.. And, 4) her Glorious Assumption into heaven, body and soul, defined by Pope Pius XII, of pious memory, in AD 1950.

The idea that she is also Mediatrix of All Graces and Co-Redemptrix is sometimes referred to as the Fifth Marian Doctrine which has not yet been defined as dogma. It is also a subject of heated debate in Catholic circles. I have personally participated in some of those debates, and I can testify to the heat generated.

The Chevalier believes, as do I, that Our Blessed Mother is indeed Mediatrix of All Graces and Co-Redemptrix, and in this video he explains that many of the objections are based on false premises.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
